[blockquote] Version 3.5 of Firefox is heavily loaded with security features and preservation of privacy. Two new features complement the appearance of Private Browsing mode. See them in this tip. [/ Blockquote]
Retroactive and Proactive
Take control of your privacy! With Firefox 3.5, you have many new functions that go in that direction ... The first of these is the mode "Private Browsing" extensively discussed in the previous tip.
But besides this special mode, already present in all the competing browsers, Firefox 3.5 brings a touch of originality by adding two guards: one retrospective, the other proactive ...
Retroactive Method
What if we just realize we forgot to turn the Private Browsing mode, and we just fill in the historical footsteps of betraying his activity? Do not worry, Firefox 3.5 offers a handy solution retroactive:
[li] Open the Tools menu and select Delete recent history. [/ li] [li] By default, Firefox offers to erase all traces of the last hour of navigation. [/ li] [li] In deploying the Interval menu to delete you can specify that you want to erase all traces of the two, three or four hours of Web activity. You can even choose to erase all traces of the day. [/ Li] [/ list]
Proactive approach
Rather than deleting a day or a period, you can simply ask Firefox to forget altogether any one site. No activity of this site will be preserved.
[li] Open the History menu and choose Display history [/ li] [li] In the tree, find the site you want to remove all traces and click the right button . [/ li] [li] Select forget this site. The site disappears completely from all historical. [/ Li] [/ list]
